Purplexus originated from the company myTemp, which created an innovative technology to measure temperature integrated into an ingestible capsule designed to measure core temperature. This capsule was used to measure core temperature during physical activity to enhancing safety and boost performance. myTemp played an important role in preparing the Dutch Olympic Team for their pursuit of gold medals at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, known for being the hottest ever. Athletes were prepared in advance to the heat and climate during the Olympics.

Unfortunately, the capsule did not reach the market. Recognizing that innovation can be unpredictable and surpizing, a new opportunity arose when industry showed interest to the technology that was used to design the capsule rather than the capsule itself. In 2022, Purplexus was established. Purplexus provides a precise, compact, and wireless temperature measurement platform that can be easily adapted for various temperature monitoring purposes. Over the past few years, Purplexus has partnered with industry leaders to develop solutions for temperature monitoring across multiple sectors.
